To celebrate Arthur Miller's centenary next year, the Touring Consortium Theatre Company will be producing a new production of the much-loved play A View from the Bridge.  The production will also include a community ensemble hand-picked from locals to each tour stop on the way. It's X Factor for the touring theatre world!

"I would really love the experience of  working with a professional director and cast in a professional production" says emerging actor, Estelle Smith.

This week, auditions hit Nottingham and there were lots of excited hopefuls waiting to tread the boards of the beautiful Theatre Royal.

Auditionees included members from the Community Company, students from Derby Academy of Acting, an East 15 graduate and a retired teacher, some of whom had graced the Theatre Royal stage previously.

"I have twice appeared as a supernumerary at the Theatre Royal in 'An Inspector Calls', and 'The Ladykillers' tours. I hope to add to these wonderful experiences with a part in A View From The Bridge" says veteran thespian, Gillian Cook.

The full community cast for Nottingham will be announced in January and will appear alongside the production’s professional company of actors. In the coming weeks, Theatre Cloud will also be reporting on community auditions in Cheltenham (20 October) and Darlington (10 November).
