The Alhambra Theatre was built in 1914, by Francis Laidler known as the King of Pantomime. This year the Alhambra is celebrating its centenary so ambassador Bob Davis compiled a list of ten things you might not know about one of Bradford's most loved buildings.

Rebecca King was born in County Durham in 1986 and studied English literature at the University of Edinburgh. She has been employed variously as a bookseller, theatre usher, box office clerk, and even as a clerical assistant in a council's streetlighting department. Now, aside from writing she works in arts marketing. She currently lives in Darlington but dreams of living by the English seaside, or in London, New York or Paris, possibly in another, earlier decade although she hasn't yet decided which one it would be.

The delightful Jackfield Band took time out of performing in our production of Brassed Off, to host a guide to the brass band for one of the Touring Consortium Theatre Company's Wolverhampton Partnership Schools, King's School, in the auditorium of the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre.
