Oh What A Lovely War's Mark Prendergast reveals who he would like to be stuck on a desert island with!

What’s the most interesting thing you have learned working on this production?

How to punt across the stage on a skateboard.

Any tips on how to cope while on tour?

A well-packed suitcase full of Berocca

If you were stuck on a desert island, which Oh What A Lovely War cast member would you take with you and why?

Wendi Peters, as well as being great company she can bake me all the cakes I'd ever need!

Why should people come and see Oh What A Lovely War?

It's as relevant today as it was 50 years ago and as well as remembering the men and women who fought the war, it's great fun.

Which venue are you looking forward to visiting most?

Torquay. I went a couple of times when I was really young with my family and have great memories of it. So I'm really looking forward to going back and getting down to the seafront!

Who is your inspiration in terms of acting?

I love great character actors who become totally different people in each role. Michael Sheen has been a real inspiration to me.

Oh What a Lovely War runs at London's Theatre Royal Stratford East from 29 January to 7 February 2015, and then tours to Richmond, Malvern, Manchester, Cambridge, Bath, Torquay, Guildford, Coventry, Brighton, Leicester, Aylesbury and Birmingham, where the tour concludes on 9 May 2015.
